Should try to eat tofu rice vermicelli with fermented shrimp pastewith shrimp sauce (bun dau) or not ?

Bun dau with shrimp sauce is a popular standing dish in the North of Viet Nam, which is really suitable to eat in each season and especially; in the heat of summer, it will be so awesome when trying crispy tofu with vermicelli.

? To make this dish, the innkeeper has to prepare at least 3 main ingredients. The first one is crispy tofu, which needs to meet some requirements as white, soft and greasy. when it’s deep in hot vegetable oil, it will inflate up and the color will change white into yellow that feels good and attractive. Crispy tofu needs hot, crispy, drain off the oil so that guests can’t feel too fat when eating. The second one is vermicelli (called bun), white rice vermicelli and fragrant must be true. Two kinds of vermicelli: bun la and bun roi also suitable for this dish. The last one is herb- one of the important ingredients to make the perfect dish. a little cucumber makes fresher and reduce the hotness of crispy tofu and added special flavor for toppings.

? And last but not least, shrimp sauce is the most important ingredient. Shrimp sauce, which is made from Thanh Hoa province, is known as the most delicious. It’s sprinkled with vegetable oil, don’t forget adding a little bit of lemon and chili if you want, then mixes them together until you can see the white bubbles and try it with topping. That’s fantastic! If you don’t want to eat shrimp sauce, you have other option, fish sauce with garlic. It’s also delicious. However, you should try to taste shrimp sauce because it is considered as the soul of this dish and make it different.
